What am I thinking?

THOUGHTS OF A TEENAGER

Short and to the point....I miss my boy! He left two and a half weeks after we got engaged to move on to a new airline and work towards his command.

For those of you who don't know, he is in Dubai now and I'm still in Glasgow :(
I am extremely proud of him and happy for him.

Skype has been a godsend....I don't know how i'd manage without it. I've been suffering from depression for past 7/8 months and he has been my rock...I wont lie...I've been struggling alone in flat without him but I know I need to stay strong and keep focussed on planning our wedding....Not long to go now - June 18th 2011 woop wooop!!

Just a wee post to have a shout out for my boy....xx

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Hello girlies,

Well on 3rd October the boy whisked me off to NYC...this was both of our first trips to the city and we were both very hyper on the flight over....I chose to watch SATC 2 movie....and munched on some surprisingly yummy plane food.

We arrived at JFK and jumped into a cab. We checked in at our hotel on Madison Ave and went to explore the 'concrete jungle'. It was the most amazing feeling ever, was like we were walking around on a film set. It was lovely, we wandered uptown to central park and had a wander, silly me put on some new pumps which were nipping at my heels so I got a little grumpy so we decided to have a wee rest here.....

we were sitting watching world go by, loving the greenery mixed with the towering buildings, then before I knew it the boy was on one knee and proposed to me......eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!! Yep I yelped and all the wee tourists were looking at us.

He proposed with a gorgeous swarovski ring, as he put it on my finger he told me it was only a proposal ring..i didn't follow...then he told me that at 11am the following morning we had an appointment at TIFFANYS!!!!!!

I couldn't stop smiling the rest of the day and hardly slept a wink for being so hyper. We were up and about at 8am so decided to keep ourselves occupied by going up the Empire State Building.

Although it was extremely windy, misty and rainy we didn't care because we were the happiest people on top of the world!!

We ended up in Tiffany's half an hour before our appointment due to my impatientness, a lovely girl named Hattie met us  and took us up to the engagement rings...wow!!! The magpie inside me was on overdrive the rings are stunning! Hattie sat us down and had a little chat about what we were looking for etc, we decided for her to pick a couple of rings and let us choose one....after a couple glasses of champagne and try on of pretty much the whole collection of rings we both decided on the second one I tried on which was the Tiffany's Princess Cut Ring....

I am in love with my ring, It was a total dream come true I'm still pinching myself to check it's real!

We had to wait a few hours for the ring to be ready for pick up and we did a little shopping...we were given more chamange when we went to pick up the ring....was so surreal.

I had an incredible 3days in New York and cannot wait to return for longer to soak it all up....now it's time to get planning for the wedding in June 2011!

xx

Oh Knickers...

oh wow, lovely

So sorry I've been pants again......i've had so much going on in my wee world the past month i've got myself little distracted...sorreeeeeeeeeeee

Shine shine shine - Lovea Bio Moroccan L’Argan Brilliance Shine Shampoo

Morning Girlies

As you will all know I am on the My Pure bloggers review panel and I have been testing out 3 products which were all sent to me for review....you can read about it here

I have been testing out Lovea Bio Moroccan L’Argan Brilliance Shine Shampoo (RRP £4.99)

 The My Pure website states:

Lovea Moroccan Argan Brilliance Shine Shampoo is ideal for lifeless hair, it fortifies hair and restores sheen and brilliance. Your hair should become stronger and rediscover its natural bounce.

This shampoo uses organic certified Moroccan Argan, one of nature’s treasures for its nutritive, regenerative, anti-ageing properties

I have only been testing this product on my hair over the past week. I have not used any other hair products in order to get the full lowdown on the shampoo but feel I have seen enough results to review this product.

On first sight of the product it's packaging is definately something that I would take a look at and pick up off the shelf. Unfortunately I found that once turned the bottle round the back had hardly any English on it.....I have a wee thing on reading everything on the back of bottles. I love how the bottle stands upside down on it's lid as I usually turn my bottles all this way as makes the flow of the shampoo easier at coming out.

Once in the shower and my hair all wet I used the same amount of this product as I would use with my usual shampoo and i was very impressed with the lather it gave and found that I did not need as much as normal and love this as it means that the product will last me a long time....a little goes a long way and all that :)

The scent of this product is a familiar smell, sadly i've not managed to put my finger on what the scent is.....it's a nice sort of comforting smell but sadly I cannot work out what it reminds me of.....sorry. But It's definately not overpowering and is lovely.

I have a skin condition on my scalf which makes it very sensitive and I have found that it reacts badly to alot of hair products therefore I was worried this product would sting on my scalf luckily it did not and I was so pleased about this as I finding it difficult to find products which react well with my condition.

Overall, I loved the results this product gave me, my hair felt so smooth and stronger and had a gorgeous shine to it. I would highly recommend this product to you all to go try out!! I would rate it 10/10!!!

Thank you all for reading!!

Much love xx

Kosmea Eighth Natural Wonder Revitalising Facial Serum

Me again with another little review for your pleasure.

KOSMEA Eighth Natural Wonder Revitalising Facial Serum

This is another one of the products I have been sent by My Pure as part of their bloggers panel as mentioned in my blog here

The Company - as mentioned on My Pure website reads:

Kosmea took Australia by storm in 1993 when they launched the first 100% pure certified organic rosehip oil. Since then Kosmea have gone from strength to strength with a complete range of skin care based around organic rosehip oil.

Kosmea is different to most other skin care brands in that they mostly do not make products for particular skin types. Instead by layering different products you get a perfect result for every skin type. Another benefit of this layering approach means you can customise your skin care needs on a daily basis and there's no need to switch creams as the seasons change. Just choose the cleanser for your skin type then use the product layering approach for your own skin's requirement.

Kosmea was one of the first natural skin care brands to use patented anti-wrinkle technology in their Eighth Natural Wonder Revitalising Facial Serum. This serum features in all Kosmea skin care regimes. We trialled it and we're hooked!

The Product? - as mentioned on My Pure Website reads:
Eighth Natural Wonder Revitalising Facial Serum instantly ‘lifts’ dull and tired skin. This product contains Myoxinol®, a complex of oligopeptides obtained from the seeds of hibiscus esculentus. Myoxinol® is proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and is a patented natural anti-ageing active.

Worn everyday under Kosmea Replenishing Moisture Cream this anti-ageing serum feeds skin with all of the essential antioxidants and vitamins it needs to keep it in optimum health.

Use this serum to supplement your daily skin care regime, much like a multi-vitamin pill supplements your diet, by giving skin the extra goodness that it needs.
My Review
I will be honest, I was unsure about thes product as I am only 25 and am not quite looking for an anti aging product as yet....however I thought I would give this product a shot.
This product comes in a box with a matching label to that is on the bottle. The bottle is neat and would fit into my daily make up bag without taking up to much space. The bottle had a pump which you press down to get the product, this unfortunatley was bad designing, I found that with a little press of the pump I got a large squirt of the product in my hand which was far too much than I would like to apply to my face and found myself wasting some of the product as had to wipe it off with a tissue and put in the bin.
The scent of this product is quite 'earthy' is the only way I can think to describe it, it is a little too overpowering and strong a scent for a product I would apply to my face as I find I then get the smell caught in my nose for a while until I go sniff something else more pleasant.
I applied this in the morning the first day I tried it, the serum felt slimey as I applied it to my face which made me wonder if I had applied a little too much as the product appeared to be just sliding about my face as I tried to rub it in and needed to blog my face a little to get rid of excess product. After application and the serum had sunk in to my skin it felt smoother and after a few days I noticed my skin had a slight glow. As I have previously mentioned I would like to test this product a little longer and see if I notice the results more.
PROS
* smooth skin *
* slight glow *
* only need a small amount and would last a long time*

CONS:
*at £25 for 20mls its a little steep for me*
*packaging is not very eye-catching and little cheap looking*
*too much product comes out the pump at once*
*left hands feeling sticky after application to face*
*smell*
I have to admit I do not use serums and unable to compare to other products as I am happy with my cleanser and toner although it has left my skin feeling silky smooth and I am interested in continuing using it. I would rate this product as 7/10, This may be unfair due to the fact I only received my package from my pure the other day therefore i have not had many days to test out the product and see the full results but I will keep using the product and update after a week or so.
xx
This product was sent to me for reviewing purposes by My Pure I have given my individual honest opinion on this product.

Time to stop being negative...

Hello beauties

The other day a few of you may have seen a tweet from myself saying I have deleted my youtube vids and about to delete twitter and blog. After speaking to a few of you and my boy I've decided to wait a while and see how I feel.

I have been going through a little bit of a rough time at the moment and not quite thinking straightly and having more bad days than good days.

I have been feeling very lonely and down and the other day I just felt like all I was doing was spending time on my own and talking to myself and felt alone and sad that I didn't have anyone to talk to. I felt everything was against me and nobody wanted to be friends with me. I had a little breakdown that day and was pretty hard on myself but after a chat with the boy I realised I need to stop being negative and look forward to things like my holiday I going on on Friday to Eygpt which will be great to get away and relax properly and hopefully come back more positive and like the old steph again
*fingers crossed*

Thank you for reading as always

[A'Kin] Pure Rose Hydrating Mist

[A'kin] does not contain: sulfates, ethoxylates, parabens, propylene glycol, petrochemical cleansers, silicones, phthalates, mineral oils, DEA and artificial colours. The A'kin skin care range was launched in 2002 in Australia and brought to the UK for the first time by mypure in 2004.

All [A'kin] products are ingredient-rich, vegan, and use certified organic ingredients where possible, they have been formulated without animal ingredients or animal testing.

[Akin] products are certified vegan by the Australian Vegan Society. They are also halal certified.

MY REVIEW:

I absolutely love this product. I didn't expect myself to like this product as I have used cooling sprays in the past and found that they have left my skin feeling sticky and greasy after application. This product has totally surprised me, It is a hydrating mist to refresh and soothe your skin. The mist is a light spray which lets of its rose scent and instantly refreshes your skin and leaves it feeling smooth and moisturised. I have used this over the past few days during the hot weather we have been having and it is like an instant air conditioner in a bottle. This is a must have for your holidays girls - I am going to Eygpt at the end of the week and the temperatures there have been 40's so I am definatley taking this product in my beach bag to cool and refresh my skin all over.

PROS:

*I have quite dry areas of my skin and using this product helped keep it moisturised throughout the day.
*The scent is a gorgeous light rose scent
*instant coolness on your skin
*keeps make up fresh
*price at £12.99 is perfect for this highly recommendable product
*nice even light spray
*great first thing in the morning to awaken your skin

CONS:

*packaging of this product is a little ancient looking for me, its like a classic ancient type labelling and would not stand out to me on a shelf in a shop as other cooling sprays are more colourful in packaging this would have been my preference of a product however on first appearances before testing any cooling and refreshing product sprays I would have probably chosen a less likable product based on eye catching appearances.

Overall I would rate this product 9/10 and would highly recommend it for your holiday beach bags for an instant freshness and awakening. Once I have finished this bottle I can see myself definitely repurchasing this product.

This product was sent to me for reviewing by My Pure and it is my own individual honest opinion on the product.

My Pure - Bloggers Panel

Hiya girlies,

A wee while ago My Pure tweeted asking for some bloggers to join their review panel. I am one of the lucky girlies to be on the My Pure review panel. My Pure was started in 2004 by Simon Golding, all their products are made from natural organic ingrediants and none of their products are tested on animals.

What do they say?

The basic principle behind mypure is that cosmetics, toiletries and home cleaning products made from natural & organic ingredients are easier on our bodies and less likely to cause problems like allergic reactions and skin sensitivity. Products made from natural ingredients are less polluting during manufacture and they biodegrade quickly after use. Great for you, even better for earth. . . Of course, it goes without saying, but we'll say it anyway, NONE of the products stocked at mypure have been tested on animals

My Pure have 3 promises that all their products are:

Non-toxic
Non-irritating
Non-sensitising

I only received my products for testing a little late in the month so I have only had a couple days to test these products. I have had a lot of fun testing these and love the fact that they are all free from nasty chemicals as promised by My Pure.

I would like to add that these products have been sent to me(and some other bloggers) to review. If I do not wish to review any of the products My Pure have requested for these to be returned to them which I think is totally fair. I am very excited about these products and interested in testing out natural organic products and I can promise you all an honest review from myself.

The three products I have received to review this month are

*Lovea Bio L'Argan Shampooing Brilliance*
*Kosmea Eighth Natural Wonder Revitalising Facial Serum*
*[A'Kin] Pure Rose Hydrating Mist*

Each of these products can be bought on the My Pure website here they have an incredible range of natural products available on their website and I recommend you all go check it out! I have been recommending this to everyone.

Summer in a Bottle by Soap & Glory

Hello ray of sunshine

Recently we have been having gorgeous weather and last night I was spritzing some of my favourite body moisturising mist onto my slightly pink arm after a day lazing in the sunshine and couldnt help myself but smile

This smile made me wanna share my love for this product and entice you all to go out buy it and smile along with me

What is the product I hear you cry?

It is the gorgeous Girligo by Soap & Glory

What do the Company say about this product?

A fragranced spray-on body moisturising mist. Do your own flirty work: Spritz Girligo™ on all-over post shower for temptingly fragrant, softer, smoother, more supple skin.

Scented with a tempting blend of bergamot, peach, strawberry, jasmine, mandarin and musk.

Results: Sensible men have been driven to dizziness by this moisturising mist.

What do I think of the product?

AMAZINGGGGGG!! this spray on body moisturising mist has the most gorgeous scent, it is like a summer in a bottle!! This product always manages to release happy thoughts for me. I started using the product last summer and not stopped using it since.

The spray has surprisingly lasted me much longer than I thought it would, I only need a few wee spays and rub it in and I smell of summer. It is fantastic value for money which i think is about £5 or £6 but I could be wrong so don't quote me on that.

The bottle is very easy to use and dispenses the right amount of product per spray, the product is a thin white liquid which will run as soon as hits the skin. One spray will cover quite a large area and it dries quickly.

The fragrance lasts very well with Girligo and I have sometimes worn this without perfume and had many compliments on how nice my perfume is...hehe it is one of the favourites with the boys to ;)

I love the fact that Soap and Glory have so many products in this range with the same great smell, so you can layer products very easily and smell scrumtious!

Overall

This is a fantastic product well worth the price tag and looks stylish on every girls bathroom shelf. It will moisturise your skin making it feel smooth and silky. The scent will linger on your skin for hours after and you will find yourself sniffing yourself cos its such a clean fresh scent which will release many a happy thoughts.

This is a beauty shelf must have so skip your way down to your nearest Soap and Glory stockist and snap up summer in a bottle for silky smooth moistured skin

Mucho Love xx
